Right now I'm working on my second stockwhip. It's a six strand cowhide whip.

I've got the thong, fall, and cracker put together. All that's left is for me to make the stock.

I haven't measure it yet, but when I first finished the thong and tried cracking it, it was waaay to long.

So I unbraided it and shortened it by about 9 inches and it seems to crack much better. I may take off another 3-6 inches tomorrow. Ihave a feeling it's still to long.

One thing I notice as I was test cracking this whip, is that there is a difference between cracking a bullwhip and a stockwhip. It took me a few minutes to re-learn how to crack a stockwhip.
