I've been working on my 4th bullwhip for a few days now and it's almost finished. This one has a leather core, then a 4 plait layer, then some bolster and finally a 6 plait outerlayer.

I started the outer layer this whip with a different kind of hide than I have used in the past. It's a bit thicker than what I used on my last whip. I'm working on my beveling skills, and last night I must have tried to bevel about a dozen strands. I'm sort of getting the hang of it (but not really).

I think this whip look pretty good (for me) and the beveling definately makes it look much better. All that is left for me to finish is the knob and turkshead at the top of the handle.
