Here's my third bullwhip! This one took about 4 months to finish due to other projects taking up my time.

This one is 5 foot 8 inches long from the butt of the handle to the tip of the fall. It started with a core, then a 4 plait layer, bolster, another 4 plait layer, bolster, and finally the 8 plait layer.

The part that I am most proud of with this whip is the turkshead on the butt of the handle. As my dad would say, "it looks pretty sharp".

I am still having some issues with gaps in the strands on the outer layer, but I think the more I make whips the tighter they will get.

While I was shaping the knob on the end of the handle, I cut off the tip of my left thumb. So this whip definately has some "blood and sweat" into it.

This one is definately an improvement on my previous two bullwhips.
