I've started working on my 5th bullwhip. This one is going to be longer than my previous ones. So far here's what it's got:

• Core
• 4 Plait Layer
• Bolster

The top left picture is the whip with just the core and the 4 plait layer.

The top right is the beginning of putting on the bolster.

The bottom right picture is the upcoming 8 plait layer. I'm not sure if this whip will end with the 8 plait layer, or if I will try to add another 10 or 12 plait layer and possibly some bolster to the whip. We will see how thick it is and how well it cracks. If I can stop at the 8 plait layer and it is functional, then it will probably stay there.

With this whip, I'm trying to do a good job of beveling the strands and using tons of pecards.

Hopefully I will have the 8 plait layer cut out and started tomorrow...but with my schedule tomorrow that's not very likely.
