Yesterday I finished the 1st layer of my seventh bullwhip. This bullwhip has a core and a 4 plait layer so far.

The braided portion measures 3 feet 7 inches. I ended up cutting off the outer core after about 2 1/2 feet. then the innercore at about 3 feet 1 inch. So the last 6ish inches of this are just braid without core.

I'm hoping to cut out the bolster and next layer (8 plait) today...and sometime tomorrow put them on.

One thing that I did differently with this whip (besides using plaiting soap instead of dressing) was I plaited it standing up, instead of sitting. It was much...much easier! So note to self plait standing and use soap...not dressing!
